INCOGNITO BOSS: episode 1

You are currently viewing INCOGNITO BOSS: episode 1

What would it be like for a boss to work for his own company? To investigate an operation’s inner workings from within? It would be an opportunity to identify how the company can be improved and also an opportunity to reward those employees who give their all to the cause.

Welcome to a new concept we like to call…….

The show where we make high-powered business executives sacrifice the luxury of their big fancy corner office and go incognito into their own companies. Seamless disguises allowing them to work their way through their own company from the bottom up, with often surprising and heartwarming results…

EPISODE 1

This episode of INCOGNITO BOSS revolves around the CEO of Hertz. Hertz, with its headquarters in Estero, Florida, is one of the largest worldwide vehicle rental companies by sales, locations, and fleet size! Founded in 1918 in Chicago, Illinois, Hertz grew to be ranked 326th in the 2020 Fortune 500 list. Pretty impressive! The company then filed for bankruptcy on May 22, 2020, citing a sharp decline in revenue. Luckily, they have recovered and are no longer bankrupt. But Mr. CEO of Hertz, being a good sport, wanted to find out how the organisation ticks and what better way to find out than going…INCOGNITO.

First, we need a disguise. Something to make our high flying CEO blend in with the common man. Something so transformational not even the average, low-level, low IQ employee, who knows and remembers what the CEO of a multinational looks like, will see through it.

Had you fooled, didn’t we?

The first step in working a job is landing a job. So we hit the job sites. It’s integral that the CEO finds out what the recruitment process is from the applicant’s side.

We found this job:

The perfect entry-level job for our CEO to get his hands dirty. We have to remind him not to wear his Rolex on the job. Haha.

To apply, our CEO needs a resume and preferably a cover letter. So we had our resume experts whip up a falsified document so convincing it should be illegal.

Impeccable job. The rest is simply a matter of filling out the application:

And submitting the application:

Now, we wait for our CEO to be hired and start his journey.
